Obituary for Melissa Lynn "Missy" Roth (Luce)
Melissa “Missy” Lynn Roth, 38, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at home on Friday, August 28,2020. Cremation rites have been accorded with funeral services taking place at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, September 16, at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Dr.). A visitation occurs 2 hours prior from 4 pm until the service hour at the funeral home. Burial occurs at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Melissa was born September 23, 1981 in Iowa City, Iowa the daughter of Tina (Roberts) Anderson. After receiving a GED, Melissa acquired a technical degree receiving a Phlebotomists certification. She worked at several hospitals before leaving that career to raise her family and eventually going back to work for Hy-Vee.
Melissa loved music and liked to sing Karaoke and dance. She enjoyed reading and writing poetry and just reading in general. She enjoyed sitting around the bon-fire socializing with family and friends. Above all, she loved her children and entire family very much and will be incredibly missed.
Melissa is survived by her mother Tina Anderson, four children – Caleb Hesse, Emma Roth, Asher Johnson and Hazel Luce; three sisters – Carly, Faith and Hope Luce; grandmother - Joan Luce; one aunt and two uncles; with special friends John Roth; James Champion, Shadow and Josh Cousineau; with several nieces, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father - Clark Luce; maternal grandparents and paternal grandfather; one uncle and two aunts.
