Melissa Gayle Jordan, 35, of Fulton, Illinois, passed away, unexpectantly, at home on Saturday, March 16, 2019. Funeral services will take place at 2 pm on Saturday, March 23, at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Dr.). A visitation will occur 2 hours prior from 12 pm until the service hour at the funeral home. Burial takes place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Melissa was born August 31, 1983 in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Allan and Debra (Dykema) McLain. She was a 2001 graduate of Thomson High School.
Melissa was united in marriage to Michael “Mike” Jordan on September 29, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church, Clinton.
Melissa was baptized at the First United Methodist Church. She recently started working for DM Services.
She enjoyed all sports, however, she especially loved watching the Chicago Cubs. She also enjoyed watching WWE, being on the computer – gaming, and loved watching comedies on TV. She also loved her cat - “Binks” and her Bearded Dragon Lizard – Diablo. Above all, she loved her husband and her son Ryker more than anything in the World.
Melissa is survived by her husband - Mike of Fulton; son -Ryker at home; parents – Allan (Bernice) McLain of Morrison and Debra Dykema of Clinton; 3 brothers – Jason McLain and Roger Rowe both of Morrison and Joey (Abby) Rowe of Clinton; grandfather – Leroy Marshall of Clinton; mother and father in-law - Arnold (Kathy) Jordan of Morrison; sister in-law Becky Jordan of Burlington with several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Preceding Melissa in death were her grandparents and several uncles.
