Meghan Marie Peters, 27, of Clinton, Iowa succumbed from injuries sustained from a fall on Sunday, May 22, 2016. A graveside service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. A visitation will occur from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 27, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Meghan was born August 31, 1988 in Virginia Beach, Virginia, the daughter of Barbara (Leonard) Peters and Joseph "Joe" Peters. She was a 2007 graduate of Prince of Peace High School and later acquired her beauticians license.
Meghan worked as a beautician at Hello Gorgeous Salon and Spa,as well as, working for Kwik Star - main avenue branch.
Meghan had a big heart, was very unselfish and was a true friend - always there in a friends time of need. She loved her niece and nephew - Eleanor and Avery. She also loved spending time with her boyfriend Andy. She loved her mother very much and was no doubt welcomed by her mother at heaven's gate. She will be sadly missed by all those who knew her.
Meghan is survived by her father - Joseph Peters of Clinton, IA; her sister - Amy Peters of Clinton, IA; one brother - Andrew Peters of Clinton, IA; one half-sister - Amanda Peters of Rock Island, IL; two half brothers - B.J. (Carey) Supple of Des Moines, IA, and Zach (Beth Hussa) Peters of Jackson, Mississippi; with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends - especially her boyfriend - Andy Stowers.
Preceding Meghan in death were her mother - Barbara, her grandparents and one uncle.
