Maxine P. Taylor, 92, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at Mercy Living Center – North on Saturday, September 1, 2018. A funeral service takes place at 12 pm on Thursday, September 6, at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive). A visitation will occur 1 hour prior to the funeral service on Thursday from 11 am until the time of service at the Funeral Home. Burial takes place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.

Maxine was born March 26, 1926 in Greeley, Colorado the daughter of Philip and Agnes (Shawver) Jordan. She was a 1944 graduate of Clinton High School. Maxine was united in marriage to Hudson Taylor on January 17, 1947 in Clinton, Iowa.

Maxine was a long-time member of the Wa-Tan-Ye women’s service club. She worked as an Assembler at the Morrison General Electric Plant, retiring after 38 years of service.

Maxine enjoyed dancing, traveling, playing Bingo and loved to read. She loved all animals, feeding feral cats, and loved her fur babies - her dogs, and feathered baby - Parrot Lucky. Above all, she loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Maxine is survived by her daughter – Nadine Klotz of FL; son – Terry Taylor of Clinton, IA; 1 son in-law -Larry Gilbert of Clinton, IA; 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; 1 brother Philip Jordan of Clinton, IA; with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceding Maxine in death were her parents, her husband, 1 daughter Joyce, 1 daughter in-law - Barbara and one sister – Dorothy
