Maxine A. Byard, 90, of Clinton, passed away, Saturday, March 19, 2011, at Mercy Living Center - South Campus.
Graveside services will be Thursday, at 4:30pm, at Clinton Lawn Cemetery with Pastor Michael Brewer officiating.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Lemke Funeral Homes.
Maxine was born December 25, 1920, in Preston, Iowa, to Albert E. and Dorthea (Boeggter) Schocker. She served as a nurse with the U.S. Navy. Maxine was a seamstress at the Clinton Garment Company for 20 years until she retired.
She married Lloyd P. Bailey in October, 1947 and he passed away in November, 1965. Maxine then married Richard Byard in November, 1969. He passed away in March, 1970.
Maxine is survived by one step-daughter, Judith A. Bailey, San Diego, CA; and three nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, two sisters, and two brothers.
