Obituary for Marye Hopkins (Westerfield)
Marye Alyce Hopkins, 66, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at Javon Bea Hospital in Rockford, IL, on Wednesday, November 10, 2021. Honoring her wishes cremation rites have been accorded with a Graveside Service taking place at 11 am on Saturday, November 20, at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Marye was born October 31, 1955 in San Diego, California to Royal and Sophia (Rajcevich) Westerfield. She was a graduate of Clinton High School, class of 1974. She was united in marriage to John Norman Hopkins in 1987.
Marye was a caring homemaker and enjoyed socializing with her family and friends. She especially loved tending to her flower garden. Above all she loved her family very much, and will be greatly missed.
Marye is survived by her two daughters - Amanda Hopkins and Allyson Comstock of Clinton; sister – Sallye (Lynn) Rose of Clinton; grandchildren - Andrew Bacunawa of Clinton and Sylis, Lilith, and Gabriel Comstock of Clinton.
Proceeding her in death are her parents, husband, and her sister Gloria.
