Mary Ellen Hall, 68, of Clinton, Iowa passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on Monday, July 17, 2017. Honoring her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A visitation will occur from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 20, at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel. A private family burial will take place at a later date at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Mary was born July 9, 1949 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of William and Mary (Wolfe) Faur. She was a 1968 graduate of St. Mary's High School. She was united in marriage to Doug Hall on July 30, 1977 in Morrison, Illinois.
Mary worked at Data Dimensions for 13 years and then worked as a CNA in the local area for several more years. Even after retiring as a CNA, her caring heart continued as she helped many elderly folks.
Mary loved going to the Casino and playing video poker. She also enjoyed playing Yahtzee and games of trivia. She loved spending time with her family, especially around the Thanksgiving Holiday – she loved to cook for her family. She also loved her fur babies very much – Willow and Sassy. Above all she loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren and will be greatly missed.
Mary is survived by her husband – Doug of Clinton, IA; her three children – Kim Kohl of Clinton, IA, Keith (Carrie) Schreiner of Clinton, IA, Kara (Jerry) Barrette of Clinton, IA; four grandchildren – Courtney (Josh), Tanner, Stone, Isabelle; with one great granddaughter on the way; her three sisters – Betty (John) Andresen, Cathy (Dick) James, Evie (Greg) Weis; one brother - Gerald Faur all of Clinton, IA; with many nieces, nephews and cousins and special niece – Amy (Tommy) Fuller of Clinton, IA.
Preceding Mary in death were her parents.
