Obituary for Marlyn Cora "Marny" Malone (Jones)
Marlyn “Marny” C. Malone, 86, of Camanche, Iowa passed away peacefully at Eagle Point Nursing Home on Monday, November 25, 2019. Honoring Marny’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded with no services planned. Private burial will take place at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Marny was born July 23, 1933 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of Arleigh and Laura (Wuiger) Jones. She was united in marriage to Darwin Malone Sr. on September 30, 1950 in Clinton.
Marny was a long-time member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Moose Lodge.
Marny was a homemaker. She loved following the Chicago Cubs, working crossword puzzles, knitting and loved watching Wheel of Fortune. She enjoyed cooking for her family and was very quick witted, having a wonderful sense of humor.
Marny is survived by her her children – Laura (Terry) Loper of Cedar Fall, IA, Patrick Malone of Camanche, IA, Darwin (Francis) Malone of Camanche, IA, with many grandchildren, especially Aaron (Patti) Cady, Chris (Tracy Huff) Cady, Melissa Malone Howard, Adam Malone, Jeramy Malone, Zach Van Dorn, Zane (Christine) Van Dorn, Christian (Amber) Kane, Eva (Alexander) Binnie, Aaron Kane, Darwin G. Malone III, Patrick (Danielle) Malone II, Jeremy (Tianna) Seaba, Amber (Jake) Kisnser with many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A special thank you to her niece Vicky (Ken) White for their visits and friendship.
Marny was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, son - Michael and great-grandson - Maverick Kisner
