Marlene Marie Holle, 61, of Clinton passed way at the Eagle Point Nursing Home and Rehab Center on September 26,2012. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 1st, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (west side of Clinton Lawn Cemetery). A visitation will take place 3 hours prior to the funeral service from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 1st, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel. Honoring Marlene's wishes, cremation rights will be accorded. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Marlene was born on April 3rd, 1951, in Marshalltown, Iowa, to Donna Jacques and later adopted by Robert and Gladys (Johannson) Holle who gave her a loving home. She was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clinton. Marlene was a 1969 graduate of Clinton High School.
Over the years Marlene co-owned and operated the Clinton Downtown Shell; she also worked at GE, Nielsen's, Allied Business and Farm & Fleet while raising her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family, knitting, enjoyed concerts, modeling, car shows and horseback riding. She had a special place in her heart for her animals. Marlene rescued and adopted many animals over the years.
Marlene is survived her Aunt Darlene Spears, biological mother Donna Lathrop, two sons Mark Petersen (Tricia) and Troy Lohberg. Her Grandchildren Tyler, McKenzie and Nicolas Petersen and Brittany, Chase, Cailyn and Riley Lohberg. Her siblings Diana Hart, David and Deborah Fisher, many cousins, nieces, nephews and her beloved pets Maggie, Snoopy, Simone and Z.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
