Obituary for Marla Seidell

Marla Lynn Seidell, 50, of Low Moor, Iowa passed away at home on Monday, January 1, 2018. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive). A visitation will occur two hours prior to the funeral service on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Seidell, Ricky Seidell, Mark Wilson Jr.,and Derek Holt. Cremation rites will be accorded following the funeral service with burial at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Marla was born February 13, 1967 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Martin and Deanna (Heath) Mussman. She graduated from Clinton High School and went on to acquire her Associates Degree from Sauk Valley Community College. Marla was united in marriage to Samuel Seidell on February 24, 2001 in Clinton, Iowa.
For 26 years Marla was the Newspaper Editor for the Sauk Valley Media Paper. She was also a member of the Low Moor City Council.
Marla was proud to be a three-gallon blood drive donor. She loved fishing, walking and riding her bike. She was always there for her family and friends. She loved her dog, her Chocolate Lab – Princess. Above all, she loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren and will be greatly missed.
Marla is survived by her father - Martin (Sally) Mussman of Clinton, IA; her husband – Samuel of Low Moor, IA; one daughter – Holly (Mark Jr.) Wilson of Clinton, IA; two grandchildren – Victoria and Rosealynn Wilson at home; four brothers – Raymond Mussman of AL; Joe Mussman of OK, Jeffrey (James) Mussman of OK and Ronald Armstrong Jr. of Clinton, IA; two sisters – Teresa Mussman of OK and Bobbie Armstrong of Albany, Il; with several aunts and uncles and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceding Marla in death were her grandparents, her mother and one uncle.
