Obituary for Mark Bower

Mark Alan Bower, 48, of Rock Island, Illinois and formerly of Clinton passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2015. Cremation rites have been accorded with a celebration of his life taking place from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 11 at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive). Burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mark was born November 16, 1966 in Clinton, Iowa the son of Darla (Davids) Jorgensen and Jim Bower. Mark was a graduate of Clinton High School. Following high school, Mark served his Country in the U.S. Army for four years. Following his service in the Army, Mark acquired a 2 year degree as a physical therapist assistant at Scott Community College. He utilized his degree working as a physical therapist assistant at Trinity Rehabilitation in Rock Island, Illinois for 20 years.
Mark married his best friend Michelle Andresen on September 14, 2007.
Mark enjoyed following sports, especially the Chicago Bears and the Iowa Hawkeye's. He loved golfing and traveling. Mark was a very positive person who loved socializing and living life to the fullest each and every day. He also loved animals especially his best friend, his lab Morgan. He loved his family very much and will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
Mark is survived by his wife - Michelle Bower of Rock Island, IL; his parents - Jim (Sherry) Bower of Murfreesboro, TN. and Darla (Ray) Jorgensen of Clinton, IA; one sister - Jodie (Jim) Vance of Le Claire, IA; two step-sisters - Amber Bower and Melissa Bower of TN; three extended nieces; two nephews - Noah and Ryan Vance of Le Claire, IA; mother and father in-law - John and Betty Andresen and extended brothers - Brad (Ellyn) Andresen of Clinton, Mike (Anmarie) Andresen of Lake Villa, IL, Brent (Jill) Andresen of Preston and Craig Andresen of Algonquin, IL, with best friend Morgan and the many friends he met through his life.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
