Obituary for Marjorie Morris

MARJORIE MORRIS born December 28, 1938 in Greenville, Mississippi to Mary E. Morris and Solomon Morris, was called home to be with the Lord on December 26,2013. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (2610 manufacturing drive - just west of Clinton Lawn Cemetery). A visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral service from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
Marjorie accepted Christ at an early age. She completed most of her education in Mississippi.
Marjorie also affectionately known as "Granny" or"Nana" by her grand and great-grand children.
Marjorie was blessed with four children; One daughter Patrice Bolden and Three sons Brian (whom preceded her in death) Eric and Terrence Morris.
Marjorie relocated to Clinton, Iowa in 2000 after retiring from Children's memorial hospital where she worked for thirty-three years as a supervising ward clerk. Upon settling in Clinton, Iowa she worked as a Domestic Violence advocate at the YWCA until her final retirement.
Marjorie leaves to cherish her memory: One daughter, Patrice Bolden; Two sons, Eric and Terrence Morris ; One grand-Daughter , LaWanda Bostic ;Two Grand-sons, Maurice (Erica) Bolden and Brandon Morris; Thirteen Great-Grandchildren, Aaliyah, Aalexxys (Lexxy), LaJuan (Dukem), Brian (B.J.), Quimai, Tyriece, Aamiyah ( Mee-mee) Aalisha, Aalissah, Maaliyah, Malani (Minnie), Markquitta, Tereyl; Four Great-Great Grandchildren, Maurreon (poppy), Zikeria, Zaaydyn, Jeraamih (Baby J.), One daughter-in-law, Jackie Stokes-Morris; One step Daughter, Sandra Nelson; One God daughter, Julie Drake and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son Brian "Binky"( 1991); her father "Solomon II" (2000); her Brother Solomon III (2000) and her Mother "Mary" (2003).
Memorials made will be directed to the wishes of the family.
