Obituary for Marjorie Frye

Marjorie Ann Frye, 90, of Clinton, passed away at Mercy Medical Center- South Campus on Saturday, June 30th, 2012. . Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 7th, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (2610 manufacturing drive, Clinton). A visitation will be held before the funeral service from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Marjorie was born Marjorie Ann Dietterich on April 3rd, 1922 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Harrison Park and Ruth Mae (Warfield) Dietterich. Marjorie attended Lyons High School. On July 20, 1943 she married Felix E. (Gene) Frye in Big Springs, Missouri. They were married for 59 years until his passing on May 5, 2003. Marjorie was employed at the Clinton Garment Company for many years before quitting to be a house wife and mother to son Michael who was born in 1963.
Marjorie was a member of the Lyons Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting and stamp collecting. She especially loved Sunday drives with her family.
Marjorie is survived by one daughter - Barbara (Elliott) Groth ; one son - Michael; one grandson - Russell (Dawn) Groth; two granddaughters - Elizabeth Groth (Mrs. Richard) Kreutzer, Lynnette Groth Caves; three great grandsons - Bradley Groth, Kevin Kreutzer and Cameron Caves; three great granddaughters - Justine Groth, Kourtney Kreutzer, Kaylee Caves; one great great grandson - Jayden Russell Groth Guillaume; one brother - Fred Dietterich and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband "Gene", four sisters and four brothers.
Memorials can be made to the Mercy Renal Dialysis Unit.
