Obituary for Marie Voltz (Harvey)
Marie (Harvey) Voltz, 77, of Clinton, Iowa went to be with her Heavenly Father and Family on October 28, 2020. Viewing will be at Lemke Funeral Homes ~ South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Dr.) on Sunday November 8, 2020 from 11 am until 12 pm. Funeral Services will follow at 12 pm with a Graveside Service afterwards. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Marie was born July 13, 1943 at home to Willie and Mary (Holder) Harvey. Marie was the first to be born in Clinton shortly after Willie and Mary moved to Clinton from Swifton, Arkansas.
Marie married Clyde Voltz September 17, 1964. They were married for nearly 24 years before he passed away on August 7, 1986.
Marie worked at several types of employment but her favorite career was being a Certified Nurse Attendant. She got the most pleasure working with seniors.
Marie enjoyed helping her sister Carol volunteering at Kids Club activities. She will be remembered for the many cupcakes and rice crispy treats she made.
Survivors include her brother – Dave (Connie) Harvey of Longview, TX; her sister – Carol (Harvey) Schyvincht of Clinton, IA; and a brother – Kenneth Harvey of Davenport, IA. Marie had many nieces and nephews as well as many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clyde, five brothers – Wm. Henry Harvey (Moline, IL), Willis Harvey (Clinton, IA), Baby Boy Harvey (Swifton, AR), Billy Joe Harvey (Clinton, IA), Bobby Joe Harvey (Clinton, IA); four sisters – Lucille Harvey – Carter (Marshalltown, IA), Wanda Harvey-Holmes (Davenport, IA), Erma Lee Harvey (Swifton, AR), Thelma Harvey-Carey (Davenport, IA).
