Obituary for Mable H. Bell

Mable H. Bell, 68, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics on Monday, January 11, 2016. Honoring her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded with a memorial service taking place at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, at Lemke Funeral Home - South Chapel. A visitation will occur two hours prior to the memorial service from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mable was born February 27, 1947 in Marshalltown, Iowa the daughter of Arthur A. and Ellen Mae (Wegman) Martin. Mable was united in marriage to Walter Bell Sr. on May 13, 1967 in Clinton, Iowa.
Mable was a certified nurses assistant working at the former Jane Lamb Hospital and finally retiring with Mercy Hospitals after 40+ years of service.
Mable enjoyed taking trips with her husband on their motorcycle (trike). She also enjoyed camping with the family. Above all she loved her children very much, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a loving mother and will be sadly missed.
Mable is survived by her two daughters - Faye (Charles) Lee of DeWitt, IA, Barbara (Brian) Parker of Clinton, IA; one son- Walter (Maxine) Bell Jr. of Clinton, IA; thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren; one brother Jim Martin-Robinson of California; one sister - Betty Loewen of Eldora, IA; with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Walter Sr., two sisters, one brother and her beloved pets taco and hobo.
