Obituary for Lynn Rose
Lynn Merril Rose, 76 of Clinton, Iowa passed away at home on Friday, February 10, 2023. Honoring his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded with no services scheduled. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Lynn was born November 22, 1946 in El Paso, Texas the son of Merril and Margaret (Christofferson) Rose.
Lynn was united in marriage to Sallye Westerfield on October 18, 1990 in Clinton, Iowa
He worked for the City of Clinton, Street Department, retiring after 25 years of service. He would then work for Clausen Trucking as a Mechanic and Driver until his health force him to retire.
Lynn and his wife were past members of the Eagles Club.
Lynn enjoyed watching TV, fishing and caring for his cats. He also enjoyed collecting baseball memorabilia.
Lynn is survived by his wife Sallye Rose of Clinton, one son - Nathan (Amber) Rose of Clinton, one daughter - Pamela Rose of Eugene, Oregon; one step-son - Evan (Michelle) Dawson of Mechanicsburg, Virginia and one step-daughter - Summer Dantic of Fulton, IL; several grandchildren; with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and twin sister – Linda.
