Obituary for Lucille Ann Ingwersen (Kohrt)
Lucille Ann Ingwersen, 84, of Clinton, Iowa passed away peacefully at MercyOne Medical Center on Thursday, April 29, 2021. A funeral service will take place at 11 am on Saturday, May 8 at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel. A visitation occurs one-hour prior, from 10 am until the service hour at the funeral home. Honoring Lucille’s wishes, cremation rites will follow the services with burial at a later date at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Lucille was born April 23, 1937 in Andover, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Catherina (Nicholsen) Kohrt. She was a graduate of Stanwood High School.
For most of her career Lucille worked at Westwing Place, either as a server or in the Kitchen. She would often come in early (off-the-clock) to clean or get items prepped for the day - she loved working there.
Lucille loved to go walking, but her main focus was always on her family. She enjoyed socializing with all of them. She dearly loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be incredibly missed.
Lucille is survived by her daughter Linda (Chester Litty) Sanderson of Low Moor, two sons – Lennie (Angel) Sanderson of Clinton and Michael (Alisa) Sanderson of Corona, California; with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister – Elizabeth Bartles of Monticello, Iowa; with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter – Nancy and two brothers – Carl and Ray.
