Louis Alan “JR” Johnson, 37, of Delmar, Iowa passed away in Bellevue, Iowa on Saturday, November 27, 2021. Honoring his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded with a celebration of his life taking place at 2 pm on Saturday, December 4 at the Hippo House - 2505 345th Ave Low Moor. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.

JR was born January 10, 1984 in Iowa City, Iowa. Shortly after birth he was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy, but never let this disease hold him down or control his love of life. He was the son of Henry “Hank” and Sarah Peahl.

JR loved being outdoors, whether it was fishing on the boat, camping, or working outside. He also enjoyed both watching and shooting pool. He loved his best friend, his dog Tolby. He also enjoyed doing his chores, tending to his chickens and socializing with friends and family. Above all, he loved his family very much and will be incredibly missed.

JR is survived by his father Hank Peahl of Delmar, IA; three sisters - Angela Taylor of Clinton, Misty Johnson of TX and Jenifer Gerdes of Clinton; three brothers – Michael Johnson of Clinton, Joel Peahl of Freeport, Il and Walter Peahl of Clinton; with several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother – Sarah Peahl.
