Loretta Comstock, 78, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 3, 2017. Loretta was born in Ottumwa, Iowa in 1938 to Henry and Sylvia (Thill) Bremhorst. She was a 1956 graduate of St. Mary's High School, Clinton. She was united in marriage to Richard Comstock in 1957 in Clinton.
Her fondest memories were the years they spent in the Navy while stationed in Hawaii. She devoted her life around her five children and their youth activities - holding key positions such as Little League President, organizing fund raising activities, coaching and cheerleading. Her selfless dedication to her children overflowed to the neighborhood children as well. She enjoyed working for Barbers Point Naval Air Station Security Dept. Loretta retired from Ralston Purina in 1997.
Survivors include: two sons, Terry and David; two daughters- Laurie Darling (Rick) and Cheryl Poage (Paul Aguire); six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one brother - Joe Bremhorst of Concord, California and her kitty Fluffy.
Loretta was preceded in death by her husband Richard, son Robert (Bobby), granddaughter Sheri Leann Kupfer, and a brother John Bremhorst of DesMoines.
Loretta's last wishes are being honored with no services and cremation entrusted to Lemke Funeral Home.
