Loretta Florine Bader, 86, of Clinton, Iowa passed away Wednesday June 8, 2016 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church in Clinton. A visitation will take place two hours prior to the funeral service from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the Church. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Loretta was born April 30, 1930 in Mott, North Dakota to Emil and Martha Mehrer Pfeifle. Loretta married Ervin Bader on September 23, 1950 in Wishek, North Dakota. Ervin passed away in 1978.
Loretta taught school for four years prior to moving to Clinton in 1953. She then worked at Jane Lamb Hospital for eight years, and later thirteen years at Nielsen Clearing House; she retired in 1990. She would relocate to Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 2014.
Loretta was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church.
Survivors include one daughter - Mrs. Sharon (Warren) Eggers of Baton Rouge, LA; one grandson - Scott (Andrea Dykstra-Eggers) Eggers, of Clinton, IA; two great-granddaughters - Breanna and Emily Eggers; two great-great granddaughters - Jordyn Cady and Lucy Tschantz; four sisters - Dorothy Bader, Arlene (Jacob) Job, Ardyce Adams and Jean Mehrer; one brother- Donald (Patricia) Pfeifle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother, Elmer Pfeifle.
