Loren Eugene Wilkerson, 93, of Low Moor, Iowa passed away at the Alverno on Thursday August 16, 2018. Private family services will take place with burial at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.

Loren was born on June 14, 1925, in Hartford, South Dakota to Wesley and Amanda (Bean) Wilkerson. During WWII he served in the US Navy on USS Cape Esperance (CVE-88).

Loren married Mary Jane (Toots) Otto on January 22, 1948, who preceded him in death in 1986. He then married Mary Goldensoph on July 9, 1988, in Low Moor, Iowa.

Loren worked at Clinton Corn Processing, Nielsen Clearing House and the City of Low Moor. His hobbies included fishing, woodworking, gardening & canning, and working on old cars. He even tried raising chickens.

Loren is survived by his wife - Mary of Low Moor, IA and his children James (Carol) Wilkerson of Port Orchard, WA; Lorraine (David) Hickey and Joyce Wilkerson of Clinton, Karen (Al) Clark of Monmouth, IA, Lorna (Rich) Hill of DeWitt, David (Shelley) Goldensoph and Kristi (Wade) Thompson of Low Moor; his brother - Charles Wilkerson of Clinton; 3 sisters - Freda Hedrick, Margie Booth & Alberta Wilkerson of Mason City IA; 17 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
