Loleta was born January 29, 1929, in Preston, Iowa to Wayne and Mabel (Frahm) Farley. After graduating from Preston High School in 1948, she moved to Clinton and met her lifelong partner, Richard Lyle Annear. They were married on June 15th, 1950 and were married for 55 years. Together they raised five children, Judy (Rich) Griebel; Sue (Holle Bentley) Annear; Jeff Annear, Dan (Chuck Rank) Annear and Tammy (John) Millsap. Along with her children, she is survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren Jason Norris, Tara Griebel, Kristin Griebel, Lucas Millsap, Nikole Seaholm, Courtney Griebel, Kiara Griebel, DeMarion Griebel, Carter Seaholm, Tyler Seaholm and Ella Norris. As well as her 'fur' grandchildren - Goldie, Kalee, Sabrina, Eden, Abby, Toby, Liberty Lake, Cinderella, Campbell and Herky.
Loleta was a kind, eloquent soul who knew the simple pleasures in life to be the most important. She enjoyed gardening and tried her best to keep the pesky bunnies away from her plants. She loved sitting in her swing in the back yard watching all the birds; and also telling countless stories of her inside 'dirty bird', Lady Gaga. She was also quite the social butterfly enjoying Red Hat Society and LumberKings games, several cruises up and down the dike and weekly trips to Pauls, her favorite store. She also made frequent trips to Preston to visit and play a spirited game or two of Scrabble with the rest of the 'Farley Girls' …her sisters Mae Gates, Norma Claussen, Janet Farley, Evelyn (Duane) Hagge and Roberta Haley.
She will leave a giant whole in our hearts, but we take solace in knowing that she's back with the loved ones who have passed before her….her infant daughter Debra Kay, her brothers Keith, Leland, Donald Farley, her sister Kathleen Robbins, her parents, Tender Leigh- her 'fur' grandchild and the love of her life, Richard 'Slip' Annear. We are sure he greeted her at the gates of Heaven, swept her up in his arms and gave her his three-kiss greeting and they were off, riding the clouds in their gold Cadillac watching over us all. HONK-HONK! We'll miss you Mom and Dad…..until we're all together again.
