Lois V. Berez, 93, of Clinton, Iowa passed away peacefully at the Alverno on Saturday, May 6, 2017. A Funeral service will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel. A visitation will occur one hour prior from 6:00 p.m. until the time of service at the Funeral Home. Honoring her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded following the funeral service with burial at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Lois was born October 21, 1923 in Dallas City, Illinois, the daughter of Grover and Gertrude (Allen) Kendall. She was baptized Lutheran. Lois worked as a billing clerk for GTE Automatic Electric in North Lake, Illinois.
Lois enjoyed dress-making, crocheting and needle point. She also enjoyed baking, candy making and hand painting shirts. She loved fishing and sitting by the river and bird watching.
Lois is survived by one daughter – Lu Martin of Clinton; two grandchildren; six great-grandsons and many great-great grandchildren; one sister – Wilma Kendall and one brother – Don Kendall; with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceding Lois in death were her parents, one daughter – Ellen; one sister - Betty and one brother – Ken.
