Obituary for Lloyd Lanning

Lloyd Mac Lanning, 84, of Folletts, Iowa passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Monday, November 15, 2021. Honoring his wishes cremation rites have been accorded. Private family services will take place. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.

Lloyd was born January 17, 1937 in Springfield, South Dakota, the son of George and Ester (Woods) Lanning. He served his Country in the United State Army as an Ammunition Supply Specialist.

Lloyd was united in marriage to Sharon Holt on January 18, 1961.

He worked at International Paper, as a Press Operator, for 30+ years, prior to his retirement.

Lloyd was a golf addict, getting out as much as possible and taking many trips to go golfing. He loved being outdoors whether it was fishing, hunting or just watching and feeding the birds in the backyard. Above all, he loved his family very much and will be incredibly missed.

Lloyd is survived by his wife Sharon of Camanche, IA; son Chris Lanning of Camanche; Jody Felderman of Low Moor; one brother Ed Lanning, Illinois; five grandchildren – Timmothy (Joyce) Lanning of Low Moor, Adam (Erica) Felderman of Clinton, Katlynn (Andrew) Maher of Clinton and Karena Sentore and Athena Sentore of Camanche; 5 greatgrandchildren – Emma, Avery, Aaden, Erica and Addalynn; with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter – Ellie, three brothers and one sister.
