Obituary for Lisa Marie Petersen
Lisa Marie Petersen, 50, of Clinton, Iowa passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 6, 2020. Honoring her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded with a graveside service taking place at 11 am on Thursday, November 12, at Clinton Lawn Cemetery – please wear casual attire or 8th Street Inn attire. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Lisa was born March 24, 1970 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of Richard and Diane (Comstock) Petersen. She was a 1988 graduate of Clinton High School.
Lisa was a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked at the former Wyndcrest Nursing Home and then MercyOne for 30+ years.
She was a member of the Eagle’s Club and a member of the International Order of Rainbow Girls – a Masonic organization.
She loved watching the Life Time movie channel and loved watching the beautiful sunsets radiate across the river while chillin on the deck, at the cabin, with her side kick Pickles. She also enjoyed socializing with friends and family at the 8th Street Inn during happy hour.
Lisa is survived by her life partner - Kevin Kelley of Clinton; her mother – Diane of Clinton; one brother – Todd Petersen of Clinton; special niece - Chelsey Petersen of Clinton; by a very special family – Mark, Tony and Laurie; with many aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends and special friend Kenny Junge – who was like a dad to her.
She was preceded in death by grandparents; her father – Richard and one uncle – Dale.
