Obituary for Linda Lynn Runge (Shockey)
Linda Lynn Runge, 65, of Camanche, Iowa passed away poetically at home in her husband's arms on Wednesday, May 5, 2021. Cremation rites have been accorded with a visitation taking place from 3pm to 6pm on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Dr) - please dress casually. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Linda was born December 5 1955 in Clinton Iowa, the daughter of Don and Donna (McNamara) Shockey. She was united in marriage to Stephen (Steve) Runge, February 23 1974, in Clinton Iowa. Linda was primarily a homemaker but also spent years working at Imperial Lanes in Camanche. Her family and dogs were everything to her. She enjoyed attending sporting events and other school activities for her grandchildren. Linda also enjoyed crocheting, but most of all she loved her dogs and goats.
Linda is survived by, her loving husband Steve, two daughters – Lisa Runge Edmunds of Clinton Iowa and Tammy (Mike) Schmitt of Cedar Falls Iowa; one son – Tom (Khristie) Runge of Princeton Iowa; a son in law Nick (Amy) Smith of Clinton Iowa; 15 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two bonus families that she considered her kids and grand-kids, Jake and Stephanie Brunning and family and Brett and Lauren Schwandt and family; two brothers – Steven Shockey and Joe (Sandy Thompson) Shockey both of Clinton Iowa; one Aunt – Hazel Foster of Camanche Iowa; several cousins nieces and nephews and her special “Noodle”.
Preceding Linda in death were her parents, her daughter, Rebecca (Becky) Smith and her granddaughter, Tory-Ann Edmunds.
