Obituary for Linda Lee Bailey (Davis)

Linda Lee Bailey, 73, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at home, surrounded by her family, on Friday, December 30, 2022. Cremation rites have been accorded with a Memorial Service taking place at 1 pm on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Lemke Funeral Homes — South Chapel. A visitation occurs 2 hours prior from 11 am until the service hour at the funeral home. Burial takes place at a later date at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.

Linda was born February 7, 1949 in Maquoketa, Iowa the daughter of Kenneth and Luetta (Wheeler) Davis. She was a graduate of Maquoketa High School.

Linda was united in marriage to James Bailey on October 17, 1970 in Maquoketa, Iowa.

She was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church, where she was very active, in various church groups. She was also a Member of the Moose and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Linda started her career as a waitress, working for several local restaurants, however, helping people in need was her true passion. She would transition her career and become a Health Care Aide, a job she truly loved. She took care of many folks including several family members.

Linda loved the outdoors – camping, fishing or simply getting outside to tend to her garden. She also loved crafting and loved her fur-baby - Bailey. Above all, and her main priority in life, was loving and taking care of her family – she will be incredibly missed.

Linda is survived by her husband James of Clinton; two children - Nicholle (J.) Hardy of Clinton and Scott (Sheri) Bailey of Clinton; five grandchildren - Nicholas (Paige), Nathan, Joe, Isabella and Kooper; one sister - Kelli Linker of Clinton and one brother - Michael (Tracey) Davis of Carson City, NV; with several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter - Jacqueline, one niece - Miranda and two brothers - Gary and Michael
