Lillian L. Creeley, 85, of Clinton, Iowa passed away peacefully on September 30, 2013 at Mercy North Living Center. Funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2 at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (2610 manufacturing drive - west side of Clinton Lawn Cemetery). A visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral service from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Lillian was born September 30, 1928 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of William and Helen (Anderson) Johnson. She was a 1946 graduate of St. Mathias High School in Muscatine, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Charles Creeley on March 21, 1953 in St. Louis, Missouri.
Lillian was a past member of the Eagles Club, AMVETS and the Spanish War Veterans Ladies Auxiliary. She was the past music director for the Young at Heart. She loved to sing and enjoyed crocheting and playing scrabble.
Lillian is survived by five daughters - Linda (James) Corbisier of Clinton, IA., Leanna (Delbert) Geffers of Clinton, IA., Elizabeth Willis of Clinton, IA., Kathryn (Kevin) DeForest of Knoxville, IL., Doralee E. (Mike) McCarthy of Cottonwood, ID.; four sons - Steven Creeley of Fond du Lac, WI., Christopher Creeley of Clinton, IA., Scott (Gayla) Creeley of Clinton, IA., Charles (Debbie) Creeley of Clinton, IA.; eighteen grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren, one great great grandson - Garrett Jones, and special niece Connie (Roger) Adkins of Clinton, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband - Charles, one son - Bradford P. Jones , one sister - Kathryn Guidebeck and one brother - Charles Johnson.
