Lewis John Thompson, 76, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at home on Tuesday, October 30, 2018. A Funeral Service will be held at 6 pm on Wednesday, November 7, at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel 2610 Manufacturing Drive). A Visitation will occur 2 hours prior to the Funeral Service from 4 pm until the time of service at the Funeral Home. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services with burial on November 12, 2018 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.

Lewis was born May 28, 1942 in Dayton, Ohio the son of Lewis and Elizabeth (Parsons) Thompson.

Those left to treasure his memories are his beloved sister - Louise “Elaine” Lewis of Silver Spring, MD; 1 daughter – Jamala (Michael) Best of Atlanta, GA; 2 grandchildren and a host of cousins and friends.

Preceding Lewis in death were his parents.
