Leola Clara Huber, 76, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at Mercy Medical Center – North on Tuesday, October 16, 2018. A memorial service will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, October 21, at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive). A Visitation will occur 2 hours prior to the Memorial Service from 1 pm until the time of service at the Funeral Home. Cremation rites have been accorded with burial taking place at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.

Leola was born November 21, 1941 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of Leo and Eva (Holdgrafer) Bormann.

Leola was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, now Prince of Peace Parish. She worked as a waitress for several restaurants in the area.

Leola enjoyed spending time down at the Riverfront, visiting the Casino and loved to bake and make salads. She was always willing to help those in need, especially the elderly. Above all, she loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren.

Leola is survived by her life partner – Kenny Nelson: 3 daughters – Carol (Scott) Robinson of Muscatine, IA, Susan (Gerry) de Gala of Plainfield, IL and Brenda (Tom) Smith of Washington, IL; 1 step-daughter – Brenda (Gary) Rockrohr of Joplin, MO; 2 step-sons – Glenn (Irene) Nelson of Thousand Oaks, CA, Kevin (Janet) Nelson of Clinton, IA; 13 grandchildren – Mitchell Robinson, Jared Nielsen, Taylor Nielsen, Chad Robinson, Alexander de Gala, Adam de Gala, Andrew de Gala, Emma Smith, Gary (David Medina) Rockrohr, Anthony (Patty) Rockrohr, Tyler Nelson, Danica Nelson, Brianna Nelson; 2 great-grandchildren -Anthony Rockrohr and Megan Rockrohr ; 2 brothers – Andrew (Marie) Bormann of Goose Lake, IA and Ralph (Sandy) Bormann of Clinton, IA; with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceding Leola in death were her parents and 3 brothers – John, Gerald and Thomas.
