Obituary for Lawrence "Larry" Kennedy

Lawrence "Larry" A. Kennedy, 70, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at his residence on Wednesday, December 12th, 2012. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 15th, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (West side of Clinton Lawn Cemetery). A visitation will be held 2 hours prior at 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Larry was born August 6th, 1942, in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Edward and Mae (Hammond) Kennedy. Larry was a 1960 graduate of Northeast High School. On August 4th, 1962 Larry was united in marriage to Shirley Hale in Clinton, Iowa.
Larry worked for the Clinton DuPont Plant - retiring after 25 years.
Larry was a member of the Eagles club and the Clinton Moose lodge.
Larry loved farming, camping and fishing. He especially enjoyed his family and the grand kids.
Larry is survived by his wife Shirley of Clinton; one son - Scott (Tammy) Kennedy of Charlotte; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; two sisters - Elizabeth (Robert) Grossman of Clinton, Janice (Rodney) Gluesing of Low Moor; many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
