Lawrence James Carr, Jr., 70, of Clinton, went to our Lord on December 4th, 2012. Cremation rights have been accorded with a memorial service to take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 15th, at Lemke Funeral Home - North Chapel. A visitation will occur one hour prior to the memorial service at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Lawrence was born on March 4th, 1942 in Clinton, Iowa the son of Lawrence Sr. and Fannie (Pigues) Carr.
Lawrence was employed as a painter.
He loved Blues and Jazz music and enjoyed fishing.
Lawrence is survived by his daughter Tracy Ann Wright of DeKalb, IL; two sons - Barry Carr of Sterling, IL., Bryon Carr of Rock Falls, IL; several grandchildren; one sister - Juliana Whitener of Clinton, IA and two brothers - Kenneth (Ellen) Williams of Modesto, CA., Harry Carr of Chicago, IL.
Memorials can be left to the family of Lawrence Carr to assist with paying expenses.
