Laureen Elizabeth Edfors, 39, of Clinton, Iowa passed away on Friday, July 4, 2014 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive - west side of Clinton Lawn Cemetery). A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Laureen was born January 20, 1975 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of Ron and Debra (Anderson) Edfors. Laureen was married to Bill Bengtson, they later divorced however remained friends.
Laureen liked to scrap book and she also loved animals. She also loved to latch hook rugs into pictures. She had a unique connection to her grandmothers having shared the same name as Grandma Loreen Barthel and sharing the same birthday as Grandma Ethel Edfors. Above all she loved her two boys very much and will be greatly missed.
Laureen is survived by her parents - Ron and Debra Edfors of Fulton, IL.; her two sons - Billy and Jonathan Bengtson of Clinton, IA.; one sister - Carla Edfors of Clinton, IA.; one nephew Ronnie (Tami) Edfors of Fulton, IL. as well as many other nieces and nephews.
Preceding Laureen in death were her grandparents , one sister - Catherine, one nephew - Brian Ray Jr. and many treasured aunts and uncles.
Memorials made will be directed to the wishes of the family.
