Latrice Denice Patterson, 37, passed away at MercyOne Medical Center, Clinton, on January 1, 2021. A Funeral service will occur at 12 pm on Saturday, January 9, at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel(2610 Manufacturing Drive). A visitation occurs from 11 am until the service hour at the Funeral Home. Burial takes place at Oakland Cemetery, Clinton. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Latrice was born July 19, 1983 in Fort Polk, Louisiana the daughter of Anthony and Rosa (Hamilton) Wells. Latrice was united in marriage to Ulysses Patterson Sr. November 13, 2001.
Latrice worked as a Home Health Aide and owned and operated “Grace upon Grace” health services - she helped many local residents and homeless until her health got bad.
She was a member of the Greater True Love Missionary Baptist Church.
Latrice loved crafting, babysitting, fishing, she loved everyone’s kids, especially the babies. She was a fantastic baker, a skilled party planner, loved playing Bingo and was a skilled coupon tactician – saving her family $100’s of dollars a year. She was a real people person that was very patient and very kind to everyone. Friends commented that when you think of a great mother you thought of Latrice. She loved her family very much and will incredibly missed.
Latrice is survived by her husband Ulysses Patterson Sr. of Clinton, four children – Shantilly, Ulysses Jr., Sanaa and Elijah all of Clinton; her father – Anthony (Renee) Wells of Chicago, IL; one sister – Lecesha (Joe) Oliver of Davenport, four brothers – Reginald Armstrong, Marshall Knox, Terrell (Marilyn) Hamilton and Quincey Bailey all of Chicago, IL; grandmother – Annie Ruff of Clinton, grandfather – Miles Armstrong of Clinton; mother and father in-law – Casandra (Anderson) Jackson of Clinton; brother and sister in-laws Natalie (Dialo) Coopwood of VA, Jean Jackson of Clinton, Michael (Kristi) Jackson of Clinton, Maurice (Tracy) Jackson of OK, Vincent (Keri) Jackson of Clinton, Sabrina (John) Frasier of TX, Catrina (Daniel) Jackson of Fulton, IL, Shantai (David) Eason of Memphis, TN; grandparents – Billy and Elder Charlene Williams; with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her mother – Rosa Bailey, one sister – Celestine Johnson; grandmother – Ruthie Fairchild; her grandparents in-law – Doris and Robert Black and great-grandmother – Lucille Armour.
