Obituary for Kevin Lee "KC" Coleman

Kevin “KC” Lee Coleman, 63, of Clinton, Iowa passed away, surrounded by loved ones, at MercyOne Medical Center on Wednesday, November 27, 2019. Honoring his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded with private burial taking place at Springdale Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.

KC was born February 15th, 1956 in Clinton, Iowa the son of John Earnest and Jane Maxine Coleman. He was a graduate of Clinton High School.

Throughout his life, KC worked at He worked for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad as a welder in the Car Shops, Hydraulic Systems of Wisconsin, McEleney Motors, Classic Bodyworks and concluded his career at Swiss Colony.

Kevin’s passion was cars, he loved car bodywork and painting cars. He enjoyed working in his shop and loved socializing with friends and family.

Kevin is survived by his daughter – Clarissa (James) Russell of O’Fallon, MO, sons – Mitchell Coleman of Clinton and James Coleman of Clinton; granddaughters – MyKendra Dawn Russell, Gabrielle Jean Russell and Amelia Clare Russell all of O’Fallon, MO; sister – Bonnie (Doug) Frie of Apache Junction, AZ; brothers – Alan Coleman and Scott (Pam) Coleman of Clinton, IA; one half-brother – Craig Coleman of Tucson, AZ; nieces – Kelly (James) MacCleary of Mesa, AZ, Amber and Angie Coleman of Clinton and Bonnie Coleman of Downers Grove, IL; nephews – Jake Frie of Phoenix, AZ, Todd Lobo of Eldridge, IA, Robert (Bobby) Schipper of Clinton, IA and Chad Coleman of Clinton, IA; girlfriend – Karen Williams of Clinton and his lifelong friends – David Ward and Pat McNaulty.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents - John Earnest and Jane Maxine Coleman. Along with his grandparents.
