Obituary for Kay Francis Gehl (Woodhurst)
Kay F. Gehl, 78, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at home, with her long-time friend, Lyle Bender, at her side on Wednesday, March 16, 2022. Honoring her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded with no services scheduled. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Kay was born January 24, 1944 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of Ralph and Edna (Comstock) Woodhurst.
She was a past member of the Eagles Club. Kay worked for several factories in Clinton, including RockTenn.
Kay is survived by her children - two sons — Dwayne (Penny) Geronzin of Clinton, Richard (Vicki) Geronzin of Clinton; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; three sisters — Ann (Lloyd) Haas of Mount Caroll, IL, Ella (Lester) Rittmer and Judy Weets both of Sabula, IA; Her long-time friend — Lyle Bender of Clinton; with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, late husband – Robert “Bob” Gehl, one son - Calvin Welch; one grandson - Calvin Jr., three brothers and one sister in-law.
