Obituary for Judy A. Reedy

Judy Ann Reedy, 68, of Clinton passed away with her loved ones by her side on January 30th, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center - South Campus after a courageous battle with cancer. Cremation has been accorded with a memorial service on Saturday, February 4th, at 1:00 p.m. at Lemke Funeral Homes- South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive, Clinton) with Pastor Michael Brewer presiding. Burial will take place at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Judy was born August, 23rd, 1943, in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Velma (Schluns) Carrier. Judy was a 1962 graduate of Clinton High School. She was united in marriage to Robert Martin in 1962 in Clinton, Iowa. They later divorced and she married Frederick Reedy on July 1st, 1994 in Clinton, Iowa.
Judy worked at Farm and Fleet in the clothing department, retiring there after 15 years of service.
Judy loved and adored her granddaughter Amanda and would be so proud of her making the Dean's List at Kirkwood Community College in the Veterinarians' Assistant Program. She also enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening along with visiting parks and taking road trips.
Judy is survived by: her husband Fred of Clinton; 1 son - Brandon (Cindy) Martin of Alexis, Illinois; 1 granddaughter - Amanda Leigh Martin of Cedar Rapids, Iowa (formerly of Fulton, Illinois); numerous step-children, grandchildren, great grand children; 1brother- Delbert (Shirley) Carrier of Clinton, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, her daughter Brenda, and her two sons - RJ and David.
In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials be made to the National Brittaney Rescue & Adoption Network, checks payable to "NBRAN".
