Judith Kathryn Chamberlain, 80, of Camanche, Iowa passed away at home on Wednesday, October 3, 2018. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 6, at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive). A visitation will occur 2 hours prior to the funeral service from 11 am until the time of service at the Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Juan Magana, John Paul McKown, Michael Parker, Mary Holzerland, Matthue Hickey and Ted Guilliams. Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.

Judith was born June 29, 1938 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Kermit and Mary (Allen) Hamilton. Following High School graduation, she would enroll at the University of Mississippi where she would acquire a degree in Nursing. Judith worked at many hospitals, throughout her life, as a registered nurse.

Judith was united in marriage to Marshall Chamberlain in the late 1970’s. She had a deep Catholic faith and was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church.

Judith was an absolute movie and TV buff – she loved watching TV sitcoms, especially Magnum PI and her favorite movie Dances with Wolves. She had a soft spot in her heart for her fur baby - her cat Mellville. Above all, she loved her family very much especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, especially great-granddaughter – Ally.

Judith is survived by her daughter - Christy Holzerland of Camanche, IA; two sons – Joe (Donna) Holzerland of Davenport, IA and Paul Holzerland of Clinton, IA; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; 1 sister – Joan of Tama, IA; with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceding Judith in death were her parents, her husband - Marshall, daughter – Mary, 1 sister and 1 brother.
