Judith Mary Arey, 74 of Clinton, Iowa passed away on October 11, 2013 at Mercy Living Center North. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 17 at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (2610 manufacturing drive - west side of Clinton Lawn Cemetery). A visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16 at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel. Burial will take place at St. Irenaeus Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Judith was born August 19, 1939 in Dixon, Illinois the daughter of Paul and Carmel (Roman) Timmons. She was a 1958 graduate of Newman Central Catholic High School, Sterling Illinois. Judith was united in marriage to Lionel Arey on April 4, 1967 in Sigourney, Iowa.
Judith was a past member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Clinton, Iowa.
Judith was a homemaker, she enjoyed crocheting, reading, especially mystery books like Nancy Drew. She also enjoyed working puzzles and loved to go on motorcycle rides with her husband. Above all she loved being a mother and a wife.
Judith is survived by her two daughters - Sue (Dan) Keister of Clinton, IA., Sharon (Bill) Barr of Cedar Rapids, IA; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren; two brothers, three sisters and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one granddaughter, one brother.
