Jolene “Jo” Kay Witt, 75, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away from complications of Alzheimer’s Disease at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics on Wednesday, April 26, 2023. Cremation rites will be accorded with Funeral services taking place at 11 am on Thursday, May 4, at the First United Methodist Church, Clinton. A visitation will occur two hours prior from 9 am until the service hour at the Church. Burial follows at Elvira Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Jolene was born October 12, 1947 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Jean (Miller) Sirvid. She was a 1966 graduate of Clinton High School.
Jolene was united in marriage to Daniel Witt on August 30, 1975 in Clinton - together for 47 years.
Jolene was a customer service associate at Clinton National Bank for many years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Clinton Area Christian Women’s Club. She was also an active member of the Iowa Barn Association.
She enjoyed traveling with her husband, especially going to see the Cubs Spring Training sessions – she was an avid Cubs fan. She also loved listening to Elvis and visiting Graceland. She was very well known for baking, especially supplying 100's of dozens of Christmas cookies for the associates of all branches of Clinton National Bank. Above all, she loved her children and grandchildren very much and loved being called "Grandma”.
Jolene is survived by her husband - Dan of Elvira, two daughters - Christina (Matthew) Clark of Clinton, and Amanda (Kevin) Holdgrafer of Spragueville, IA; two grandchildren - Daisy and Detroit at home; with several nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends; and her beloved fur-baby - Tabby.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother - Michael Joseph Sirvid, and one sister - Joyce Sirvid.
