Obituary for Jolene Decker

Jolene Lynn Decker, 57, of Camanche, Iowa, passed away at the University of Iowa Hospitals on Sunday November 21, 2021. Honoring her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded with a celebration of her life taking place from 1 pm to 3 pm on Monday, November 29, at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel. Burial will take place at later date at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.

Jolene was born September 2, 1964 in Maquoketa, Iowa the daughter of Joseph and Janice (Gladhill) Dunn. She was a graduate of Northeast High School. She earned a specialized certificate and started her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant concluding her “CNA” career after 30+ years.

She attended the Victory Center Church in Albany, Illinois.

Jolene was married to Chris Decker until his passing in 2012. She then met the love of her life, Vince Farnham.

Jolene loved horseback riding and had several horses throughout her life. She also enjoyed going out to eat and socializing with family and friends and then finishing the evening off by getting out on the dance floor for some country line dancing. She loved all animals, but her favorites were her dogs and, of course, her horses. Above all, she loved her family very much and will be incredibly missed.

Jolene is survived by her life partner Vince Farnham of Camanche, her mother – Janice Dunn of Goose Lake, two sisters – Belinda (Allen) Sullivan of Preston and Brenda Dunn of Miles, IA, four nephews – Jordan (Jaime) Sullivan, Andrew Sullivan, Brandon Dunn and Tyler Dunn, with several cousins and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Joseph and husband – Chris.
