Obituary for John Wayne Richmond

John Wayne Richmond, 58, of Fulton, Illinois, passed away at home on Sunday, December 29, 2019. Funeral services will take place at 1 pm on Saturday, January 4, at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive). A visitation occurs two-hours prior from 11 am until the service hour at the funeral home. Burial takes place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.

John was born December 12, 1961 in Clinton, Iowa the son of Richard “Dickie” and Mary (Burnett) Richmond. John was a 1979 graduate of Clinton High School.

John was united in marriage to Priscilla “Penny” Delhotal on November 28, 2005 in Fulton, Illinois.

He was a member of the Brethren in Christ Church in Morrison for many years. John was a Christian who knew Creator God.

He worked as a Machine Operator at Collis, Inc.

John loved spending time outdoors and enjoyed fishing. John found great interest with following the Native American Culture and actively participated in Pow-Wow events nationally. During this time, he enjoyed bead working and won several ribbons for his expertise in bead work and frequently placed in Tee-Pee construction during National Pow-Wow events. Above all, he loved his family very much, especially his grandchildren and in particular – Alyssa.

John is survived by his wife – Penny of Fulton, Il; Tim (Lisa) Gouldsberry of Dixon, Il, Teresa (Darin) Galloway of Sterling, IL; 4 grandchildren - Raven, Mathyas, Alyssa and Jordan; siblings – Mark Richmond of Clinton and Sandra Hagen of Clinton; several aunts and uncles – and special Aunt – Linda Skelton; with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents and other family members.
