Obituary

John Paul Kraft, 66, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at the University of Iowa Hospitals on Thursday, November 28, 2019. Cremation rites will be accorded with a Memorial service taking place at 11 am on Friday, December 6, at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive). A visitation occurs 1-hour prior from 10 am until the service hour at the funeral home. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.

John was born August 21, 1953 in Clinton, Iowa the son of John J. and Evelyn (Hilsinger) Kraft – his mother, Evelyn, passed away in September of this year. John was a 1971 graduate of Clinton High School and attended Clinton Community College.

Throughout his life John worked at Burpee Seed Co. Jane Lamb Hospital, Rastelli’s, the Clinton Drive-in Theatre and finally concluded his career at the Skyline Center. He was a member of the ADA Commission for the Disabled, a member of the Salvation Army, was chairman of the CCAC and was a founding member of the Circle K Group.

John enjoyed going to the Lumber Kings baseball games, going to movie theatre with his Sky Line friends, enjoyed watching Westerns on TV. He loved going to Church at the Salvation Army.

The family wishes to thank the entire staff and friends at the Skyline Center for their compassionate care shown to John.

John is survived by his siblings - Michael (Sandy) Kraft of Melbourne, FL, Kathy (Jay) Harbron of Fulton, IL and Jennifer (Steve) Swick of Belvidere, IL; with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother – Dan Kraft, sister – Lisa Nord, nephew – Michael and nieces – Erin and Christa.

RIP John I worked with John at Jane Lamb Hospital . John was a joy to work with and a very hard worker. Sure he with he missed by many.
