John "Jack" Aubrey Jetter, 66, of Leavenworth, Missouri (formerly of Clinton) passed away at St. Johns Hospital on April 5, 2014. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 12 at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (2610 manufacturing drive - just west of Clinton Lawn Cemetery). A visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral service from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded following the service with no planned burial. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Jack was born October 27, 1947 in Clinton, Iowa the son of William Sr. and Margaret (Culberson) Jetter. He was a 1966 graduate of Clinton High School.
Jack was a past member of the Bethel AME church in Clinton. He was a supervisor at E & J Metal Company in Rock Island, Illinois. Jack loved working on and rebuilding cars and boats. He also enjoyed racing cars. Jack loved the outdoors and also enjoyed golf and tennis. Above all he loved his family very much and will be greatly missed.
Jack is survived by his eight daughters - Shelley (Lynn) Clemons of Knoxville, TN., Nicki (Eric) Holloway of Clinton, IA., Tami (Brian) Jetter of Plainfield, IL., Carmon Jetter of Davenport, IA., Tricia Jetter-Fuller of Clinton, IA., Tasha (Eric) Jetter-Winston of Clinton, IA. Lucretia Jetter of Knoxville, TN., Tara (Wilfred) Mutodza of Dallas, TX.; two sons- Thomas Sampson of Davenport, IA., John Jetter, Jr. of Clinton, IA., twenty six grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren; one sister - Dina White of Clinton, IA.; two brothers - William Jetter, Jr. of Clinton, IA. and Roland (Claire) McCorkle of Milan, IL.
Preceding Jack in death were his parents, one sister and two brothers.
Memorials made will be directed to the wishes of the family.
