Obituary for Joetta Phyllis Siegwarth (McCartney)

Joetta Phyllis Siegwarth, 86, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at Eagle Point Care Center on Thursday, September 26, 2019. Funeral services occur at 6 pm on Thursday, October 3, at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Dr.). A visitation will occur 1-hour prior from 5 pm until the service hour at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded following services with burial at a later date in Galena, Illinois. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.

Joetta was born April 21, 1933 in Lancaster, Wisconsin the daughter of Frank and Ethel (Bisbach) McCartney. She was united in marriage to Marlin Siegwarth on June 29, 1953 in Freeport, Illinois.

Joetta worked at Collis Company, for many years, as a Press Mold operator.

Joetta enjoyed and was very skilled at crocheting and knitting. She would often make quilts and other items for her friends. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and working on crafts. Above all, she loved her entire family very much and will be greatly missed by her family and special friends at the Eagle Point Care Center.

Joetta is survived by daughters-Sandra (George) Langher of FL, Lynn Buckley of TX, Carol (Juan) Velasco-Gaspar of Clinton, Cathy (John) Sparlang of FL, Paula Harris of TX, Carla Siegwarth, of Savanna, Christy Siegwarth of Clinton; sons – Kenny Siegwarth of Grand Mound and Kevin Siegwarth of Clinton; with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; brothers – Clete (Charlene) McCartney, Doug (Shirley) McCartney, Delmar McCartney all of WI and sister – Joyce Yoeman of WI; sister in-law Wilma McCartney; with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceding Joetta in death were her parents, her husband, daughter – Debbie Boutwell, grandson – Daryl, three brothers and one sister.
