Jim was a machinist for over 30 years working at various companies in the area including Customer Pak, Collis and Caterpillar. He was a member of ABATE of Iowa, Inc.

From a very young age he enjoyed riding Harleys many times from sunrise to sunset. He rode in countless motorcycle runs, not just in the area, but also riding to Sturgis and points further down the road. Regardless of the weather, if he could get his bike out of his garage, he was riding. However, his passion for riding came second to his family which was always his first priority. He loved his family very much, especially spending time with his children and great grandchildren.
