Obituary for Jerry Russell Mensinger
Jerry R. Mensinger, 77, of Camanche, Iowa passed away at MercyOne Medical Center on Friday, June 5, 2020. Honoring his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded with services at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Jerry was born April 12, 1943 in Clinton, Iowa the son of Russell and Grace (Nielson) Mensinger. Jerry was united in marriage to Alice Tillema on April 12, 1977 in Mexico.
Jerry served our County in the U.S. Army a veteran of the Viet Nam war. His time in the military included active duty during the Tet Offensive. He was a life-time member of the VFW.
Jerry worked as an Chemical Plant Operator & Business Manager for Team Environmental in Texas - retiring after 35 years.
Jerry enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He loved his family very much and will be greatly missed.
Jerry is survived by his wife – Alice M Mensinger of Camanche, three daughters – Jeri Kay Moe of Georgetown, TX, Teresa Renee Green of Austin, TX and Christina Marie (Mike) Skiles of Fulton, IL; son – Jerry Russell (Christin) Mensinger Jr. of Omaha, NE; three step-children – Robbie (Frank) Grage of LeClaire, IA, Kim (Steve) Wagner of Camanche, IA, Robert (Barb) Weber of Clinton, IA; eight grandchildren – Tanner, Logan, Emma, Jack, Elizabeth, Cody, Kolton and Michael and eight step-grandchildren; brother – Gary (Joanne) Mensinger of Bellevue, IA; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceding Jerry in death were his parents.
