Jamie Christine David, 61, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away at The University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City, on Monday, August 23, 2021. Honoring her wishes cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of her life occurs Wednesday, September 1, from 11am to 1pm at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Jamie was born on August 9, 1960 in East St. Louis, Illinois, the daughter of Thomas and Viva (Whitehouse) Green. She was a graduate of Clinton High School.
Jamie worked as a security guard for GardaWorld Security for over 15 years at several locations, most recently at LyondellBasell. She had previously worked at IPSCO Steel.
Jamie loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She also adored her Chihuahua- Lilly. Jamie enjoyed bowling in various leagues. Above all, she loved her family very much and will be greatly missed.
Jamie is survived by her daughter- Cassandra “Cassie” (Luke Eversoll) Heinitz of Clinton; her son- John Heinitz of Maquoketa; five grandchildren – Haley, Zander, Hunter, Grayson and Catalina; daughter in law- Katrina Heinitz of Clinton; two sisters – Lavina (Scott) Reed of Clinton, Laura Feller of Clinton; four brothers- Robert Green of Marshalltown, Iowa, Thomas Green of Clinton, Tim (Donna) Green of Fulton and John Green of Clinton; with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Proceeding her in death are her parents; brother Steven; and son Jason Heinitz.
