Obituary for Jacqueline Jean "Jackie" Davis (Huss)

Jacqueline "Jackie" Jean Davis, 79, of Princeton, Iowa, passed away at home on Saturday, July 30, 2022. Honoring her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded with no services scheduled. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.

Jackie was born September 25, 1942 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the daughter of Lyle and Elma (Swanson) Huss. She was united in marriage to Samuel Davis on November 17, 1961 in El Central, California.

Jackie worked in the Radiology Department at St. Lukes/Genesis East for many years. She was a past member of the Moose Lodge.

Jackie loved to travel, vacation cruises her favorite, with her husband both nationally and internationally. She also enjoyed breeding, training and showing registered Silky Terriers with her husband – her favorite fur-baby was her Australian Terrier – Viper.

Jackie was an amazing Mother, the Matriarch of the family - always keeping the family on a level plain, balanced and secure with her love and insight. She loved her family above all else and will be incredibly missed.

Jackie is survived by her husband Samuel Davis of Princeton, IA; two daughters - Lisa (Doug) Kent of Corydon, Iowa, Dianne (Randall) Nichols of Princeton, IA; two sons - David (Stephanie) Davis of Rock Island, IL and Jerry (Denise) Davis of Gladewater, TX; several grandchildren & great-grandchildren; siblings - Richard Moyer, Kenny Moyer and Dianne Martin; with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson – Adam Misner, one sister - Sandy and one brother – Lyle.
