Ida Patricia Barry, 84, of Clinton, Iowa passed away peacefully at Mercy Living Center- North on March 22, 2014. Cremation rites have been accorded with a Funeral Mass taking place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 4, at Jesus Christ Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Ida was born March 8, 1930 in Narragansett, Rhode Island the daughter of James and Marie (DiDonato) Diana. She was a 1942 graduate of Narragansett High School. She was united in marriage to Robert Barry on November 26, 1954.
Ida was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and loved going to church each Sunday. She worked as a Dietary Aid in various nursing homes and was also a full-time homemaker. Her favorite past time which ultimately became a passion of hers was playing Bingo.
Ida is survived by one daughter - Beth (John) Adkins of Katy, TX; four granddaughters - Marissa, Kayla, Shanna, Layna; three sisters - Anne Hill of Clinton, IA., Lily Barbera of Lakeland, FL. and Gilda Brown of Houston, TX. Ida was a true gem that will be missed by all those that were fortunate to know her.
Preceding Ida in death were her parents, her husband Robert, one daughter - Robin Marie and one grandson - John, two brothers and one sister.
Memorials should be directed to Prince of Peace Church.
